According to the Statutes of the NRCC, individuals who has promoted the purposes of the Chamber through their activities within the Russian-Norwegian Trade and Industrial Cooperation and who have deserved this, can after suggestion by the General Assembly of the NRCC, be appointed honorary members of the NRCC.
By primo January 2011, the following individuals are honorary members of the Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce.

Leonid Reiman![]() Reiman has held several top positions in Russian telecom companies and ministerial positions in several Russian governments, hereunder, he was a Minister of Telecommunications in the period 2004-2008. |

Oeyvind Nordsletten![]() Ambassador Nordsletten has for more than 40 years worked in various official positions with issues in relation to the Soviet union and the Russian Federation. Nordsletten started his service for the Ministry of Foreign affairs in 1974 and at served at the Norwegian Embassy in Moscow from 1979 to 1982 as a diplomat of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. |

Elnar Seljevold![]() FrFrom 1955 till 1969 Seljevold worked as interpreter and assistant for Norwegian Border Commissioner, and took an active part in the development of Norwegian-Soviet relations. In 1965-1966 he became the director of Nordhandel AS, a trading company which existed to 1973 when the company was formally closed down. This initiative was the first attempt to develop traditional trade across the border in the High North.
From 1977 till 1980 Elnar Seljevold became the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporations correspondent in Moscow, and from 1988 to 1990 managing director of NBC Ostfold. He is author of several books and is for several years engaged in a training program for journalists from the Russian High North in Norway. |

Kaare Karlstad![]() In the second half of the 1970ies, the Norwegian-Finnish company Pomor Nordic Trade, Tromsø, was established by director Kaare Karlstad, Finnsnes. He started import of wooden materials, frozen capelin, berries and other products from the North-Western district of the Soviet Union to Norway. |

Nils-Edvard Olsen![]() Mr. Nils-Edvard Olsen (NEO) was deputy mayor from 1980 – 1982 and mayor from 1982-1990 in the Municipality of South-Varanger in the Norwegian High North. He got the tough challenge of restructuring a one-sided industrial location in urgent need of transformation and realization of alternative working places. |

Tor B. Naess![]() Cross border cooperation with the Soviet Union in the High North in the 1980-s would not have been possible without support from central authorities in Oslo. A key role player during these processes, was ambassador Tor Berntin Naess, who in the 1980ies in the Ministry of Trade. |
